Serve as a liason between the Career center and the community. Refer customers to the appropriate community resources that can aid them in their job search, and if necessary other resources that assist with personal issues that can affect employment. My main duty is to develop and maintain strong partnerships with any possible service provider to facilitate a system of shared referrals.

The Center for Survey Research is conducting a survey to learn more about parks and recreation in various counties of North Carolina to help with county wide planning.

Dr. Mamadi Corra, Professor of Sociology at East Carolina University is conducting research to further explore the relationship between perceived status and negotiating techniques. This position requires the assistant to participate as a third party in the bargaining activity along with two other students. The results are recorded by two graduate students of Sociology who work directly under Dr. Corra.

Assisted in the completion of telephone surveys across all 100 counties of North Carolina inquiring about Internet usage and availability. The research done by the Community Research Lab on East Carolina University's campus has been responsible for the funding of Internet access to several counties in North Carolina that did not have Internet access previously.
