Currently working for a brilliant, progressive and forward thinking private company based in South wales. I am part of the ever growing world of first contact physiotherapists aiming to tackle musculoskeletal disorders within the GP based community. Alongside this specialist role I work within the private clinics we have available in Pontypridd and Caerphilly and secondly perform an occupational health role with RCT council.

Re positioned within Radiology to use my clinical and management skills in assisting in directing and co ordinating the outsourcing of Radiological scans to a private hospital .

Band 6 specialist MSK physiotherapist based within a busy health board outpatients department. High demands of running a busy and complicated case load within the time constraints of an appointment system. COVID-19 presented the added challenge of redeployment as OP departments were shut down to adhere government rules. My skills were utilised within a Trauma and orthopaedic inpatient setting allowing my knowledge and expertise within orthopaedics to be developed in a more acute setting.A delicate and important balance is often needed to integrate loan autonomous working alongside liaising with other physiotherapists within the role and even wider within the multi disciplinary team. The ability to learn and develop from more senior members of staff was often a smooth transaction to mentoring and improving the development of other team members. As with a forever developing and adaptive role within medicine it was and remains important to take responsibility in self development and stay up to date with new and applicable research in the field of msk/ ortho medicine.

Private sector physiotherapy clinics based across a vast territory of South Wales. The job involved autonomous independent working with assistance of admin staff based from a central office. In conjunction with admin staff, the management and application of running a busy and varied case load diary that often involved travelling between sites on a regular basis.

Band 5 junior physiotherapist role completing rotations through the 4 main core areas of physiotherapy medicine: Respiratory, Neuro, Trauma & Orthopaedic and MSK. A strong underlying knowledge base was gained throughout the varied elements of medicine which has continued to drive my enthusiasm for the field of medicine and provided a solid base for the development of knowledge as I progress through my career route.
