A dedicated and reliable individual with over 20 years’ experience across a variety of professional roles, including a successful self-start business within the Scottish tourism industry. Proactive in adapting and committing to new opportunities through personal endeavour and by developing collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders.Most recently, I ran my own successful business within the Scottish Tourism sector (Walk Across Scotland), organising self-guided walking holidays. After establishing the business in early 2014, I gained a greater share of the market via a purchase and take over of a competitor, Make Tracks Walking Holidays. Continued growth led to a situation where the company required investment and a greater workforce in order to keep up with demand. After successful negotiations, Walk Across Scotland & Make Tracks is now being run by a company who have the ambitions and resources to take the business to the next level. Prior to 2014, I was employed within Investment Finance, most recently as a Trustee within Fiduciary Services at Citigroup. My original role at Citi was within Mutual Funds Valuations, where I worked my way through the ranks from administrator to team leader. I also have experience with Corporate Actions and Cash/Trade Processing. This was from my time at State Street (Deutsche Bank) in the early 2000's. Running my own business brought great responsibility which, as a result, has provided me with experience in a number of professional disciplines, including; sales & marketing, bookkeeping, web design, data and financial analysis, Microsoft Excel, general office administration, HMRC Tax submissions, employee relationships, 3rd party service provider relationships, International partner relationships.Throughout my career, I have adopted a high level of professionalism, attention to detail and a strong will to succeed.
