Maintenance Team Lead - Electrical, assessed and authorised as Responsible Person Electrical (RPE).- Compile weekly electrical plans and ensure work is executed on time and safely.- Ensure corrective and routine work orders are prioritised and executed accordingly. - Carry out PM/CM as per Maximo database.- Train, assess and authorise technicians to varying degrees of authority to enable them to carry out electrical roles on the platform.- Carry out training and familiarisation on electrical systems on the platform.- Responsible for scrutinising and approving for use every electrical isolation that is applied on the platform.- Responsible for creating and keeping up to date HV/LV switching programs.- Heavily involved in finalising electrical procedures such as Black- Start, Safety Rules, Isolation procedures etc.- Continued involvement with commissioning on equipment such as Gas Turbines, Gas Compressors, HV / LV Motors, HV / LV Switchgear, UPS Systems, Emergency Generators, VSD's, Distribution Boards, Lighting etc.- Input into the maintenance strategy on electrical systems.- Carry out Emergency Response Team Leader duties.

● Working in the Maintenance department, carrying out daily planned/reactive maintenance on all electrical equipment on the installation up to and including 33KV inter-platform distribution system.● Understanding and keeping up to date with the Safe operating procedures and Planned maintenance routines.● Creating risk assessments and permits, attending safety meetings and carrying out toolbox talks daily.● Carrying out Isolations/switching operations on LV/HV electrical equipment● Commissioning AVR’s for HV generators.● Decommissioning of platform crane and subsequently commissioning its replacement.● Reviewing company Safe Operating Procedures for amendment and improvement.● Highly proficient in HV/LV switching operations up to 33KV (Inter-Platform power distribution)● Fault diagnosis and repairing all electrical systems including HV generators, HV/LV transformers, UPS systems, Battery systems, PMS control systems, HV/LV electric motors, Ex equipment and more.● Working with HV Generators 13.8K including testing of protection relays and installation of AVR’s/Synchronising units as well as day to day running operations.● Maintaining and testing HV/LV protection relays as well as Primary/Secondary injection testing on HV/LV Protective devices.● Maintenance on HV/LV switchboards● Communicating and relaying information to onshore support teams.● Taking control of Team leader duties in the absence of supervisory personnel.● Compiling work plans for multiple disciplines (electrical, instrument, mechanical and HVAC)● Liaising with different trades and services to complete planned work in a timely manner.● Relaying safety critical and general information to the workforce.● Conducting introductory meetings with new personnel as safety representative.● Promoting platform safety culture as safety representative by leading by example.

I attended TTE training centre and Redcar and Cleveland College In Middlesbrough for 21 months achieving an NC, HNC and NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Discipline. Then based offshore on Oil Platform Brae Alpha sponsored by Marathon OIL. In this time I completed my apprenticeship as an Electrical Maintenance Technician and completed my NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering.
