Directed the business technology divisions at Reel FX and Bedrock Manufacturing, overseeing the departments of desktop support, infrastructure, facilities, and business application development for both companies. Oversaw the specification, evaluation, and implementation of enterprise-level network storage, data caching devices, and a 600-node render farm across Dallas and Santa Monica. Oversaw the multi-million dollar renovation of the Reel FX Dallas headquarters; ran point on daily operations and employee relations during 11-month construction effort. Oversaw design, procurement, and deployment of technology for 2 new retail store locations in Detroit and New York, and 2 new office locations for the Bedrock organization in Santa Monica. Lead implementation of a new proprietary Insight Production framework and overhauled the design for improved speed and usability. Re-tooled the central purchasing processes in both organizations and recognized significant reductions in overhead and procurement delays.

Directed the production technology division at Reel FX containing the pipeline software, technical supervision, and business application development teams for the studio. Oversaw the technical strategy, process definition, and logistical execution of all animation projects, including an animated film, a ride film for Universal, 6 animated shorts, and 20 commercials. Directed the design and development of the production pipeline, including oversight of the flow of assets and shots through the production as well as monitoring and improving artist and supervisor workflows. Responsible for the justification, procurement, and deployment of resources in support of the pipeline, including the oversight of 25 designers, pipeline engineers, technical directors, and application developers, as well as the oversight of million-dollar capital expenditure budgets and staffing plans.

Supervised a team of 2 analysts and 4 software developers, responsible for the design and implementation of all financial and production-asset tracking systems in the studio. Directed the priorities and scheduling of business process design, operations research, and software projects. Lead analysts in gathering requirements, developing data models, designing interfaces, and writing reports against those models using SQL. Grew the proprietary studio application framework (In-sight) into an enterprise-level software package, responsible for the data-tracking and operational management of the entire production lifecycle, from early concept design through final product delivery. Designed and developed a revised Insight Finance framework, including a project estimation and actualization system that captures time and expenses and provides real-time forecast-ing and resource utilization reporting across 5 distinct business divisions (presently still in use at the studio).

Conceived, designed, and developed Insight, a proprietary web-based suite of applications for managing studio operations, creative production, and financial analysis of feature film animation and visual effects. Assembled requirements with key stakeholders, designed user interfaces, and developed features for the application framework. Designed and implemented a wide range of financial applications such as timesheet, purchase order, and forecasting, as well as industry-specific systems for managing costs on commercial and feature film productions. Provided artists and studio management with innovative ways of tracking and visualizing production data for small and large productions, enabling faster, more educated decision-making at every level of management.

Gathered requirements, designed interfaces, and developed new features for the enterprise software package Macromedia Fireworks (now Adobe Fireworks), including advanced tools for exporting design mockups into functional HTML and slicing images for websites.
