Analyst within treasury settlements for Barclays Investment Bank. Responsible for the repair of incomplete trades and investigation of any discrepancies, pre value date exception management and payments relating to the investment bank division of Barclays, whilst ensuring key controls and low break statistics and maintained and operational risk is supported. Whilst working in the treasury settlements team Ross was an integral part of the CI Opportunities programme to streamline and improve processes. Ross carried out process mapping, analysis and operational process design. During his time within the treasury team Ross also worked as a part of the recognition work stream group, driving to reward individuals for their achievements and to boost morale within the department. His responsibilities for this work stream included, data collection & analysis, delivering updates for buzz content, providing feedback to applicants and finding innovative and resources methods to ensure Barclays employees are rewarded for going beyond their job description.

A member of the product data team working within Global Reference Data, responsible for creating and amending securities accurately ensuring global standards are met within defined service level agreements. Responsible for tasks relating to fixed income securities including money markets and bonds, including set up creations, amendments, trade settlements, product and instrument reports and quality control queries. Ensured data maintained within the security database is accurately stored and helped drive data consistency throughout Barclays minimising the operational risk. Whilst working within the product data team Ross gained exposure to a variety of different financial instruments and products across Barclay’s investment banking operations.
