JTL allowed me to take what I had learned in the past and combine these skills. Here I was managing full scale GC remodels. I would handle the process, often times, from sale to final inspection. We self performed carpentry work. Project managers were in charge of scheduling/coordination among our carpenters, sub contractors, clients, and architects. High.

Wojcik Builders was where I learned how to estimate commercial construction projects on a larger scale. We would bid mostly interiors work, but mixed in several GC packages along the way.

This was my first job outside of my father’s business. I was in charge of overnight remodels of a chain restaurant’s kitchens. I would coordinate with subcontractors, in house labor, and the client weeks in advance, for each location. Then, travel to site, remodel over the duration of one night, and be prepared for them to train their staff on the new.

I worked for my father’s company while growing up and into adulthood. We specialized in exterior home remodeling, such as siding, gutters, windows, and doors. I helped him with a myriad of tasks ranging from installation, to estimating, to material procurement and delivery, and crew management.
