Right-Of-Way & Mapping Coordinator
- Provide/oversee general customer service/counseling on all City of Tampa right-of-way issues; perform encroachment regulation analysis.- Serve as Development Review Committee member for all zoning and subdivision requests/petitions to include right-of-way vacating petitions; encroachment petitions; and release of easement petitions.- Supervise assignment of addresses for new subdivisions and change of addresses; serve as E911 liaison for addressing in City of Tampa.- Certify legal descriptions for all: real estate transactions; petitions including rezoning, special use I and II, wet zoning, overlay districts, historic districts, annexations, park renaming, vacating, release of easement, encroachment, special taxing districts, Community Redevelopment Areas; City of Tampa right-of-way acquisition projects.- Create Geographic Information System (GIS) database to track and store all zoning, rezoning and special use activity as well as all ROW vacating, easement and encroachment activity; maintains database for all new GIS and work order management processes and procedures.- Create maps and graphics for all studies; develop policy and procedures manuals for ROW activities.- Supervise and participate in development of graphics for all special events within the City of Tampa; web site development and maintenance; storage and maintenance of the official City of Tampa boundary and right-of-way maps and zoning atlases.- Serve as technical advisor to all engineering/drafting sections within the City. Train Real Estate personnel on legal descriptions, easements, right-of-way issues.- Assign and direct the technical work of subordinate personnel; review work for accuracy and adherence to standard procedures; assist subordinates with any questions or problems concerning duties and responsibilities; recommends employment, transfer, promotion, demotion, and dismissal of subordinates; complete performance evaluations and participates in administering discipline.

- Serve on the Public Safety Response Team (PSRT) with a responsibility of overseeing and performing as first responder to 911 or other wire down calls during storm restoration. My responsibilities are to dispatch wire walkers to perform damage assessment/make safe work or to dispatch a wire sitter until construction crews can arrive. Enter the appropriate damage assessment information into PSRT system so crews can see in field.- Work alongside multiple internal departments within LG&E-KU including Legal Department, Electric Distribution Engineering, Electric Transmission Engineering, and Gas Transmission Engineering.- Worked with multiple State, City, and County officials to prepare for local projects within central Kentucky, eastern Kentucky, and western Virginia (ODP).- I’ve worked on multiple highway widening projects with Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) acquiring electric transmission easements in order to relocate LG&E-KU transmission structures.- I work daily acquiring easements, permits, and encroachment agreements for electric distribution and electric transmission.- Work alongside Legal Department to consolidate LG&E documents with KU documents in order to expedite the legal review process. In turn this leads to quick turnaround for not only the company but also for the customer.- Completed gas transmission pipeline projects and gas pipeline relocation projects.- Work with multiple contractors to acquire appraisals, surveys, and sometimes full title research.- Purchased or leased multiple properties for gas launcher/receiver stations, pole yards, and for future transmission and distribution substations.- Regularly use Google Earth Pro and AutoCAD to draft easement exhibits.- Supervised contracted right of way agent employees on multiple electric distribution and electric transmission relocation projects.- Member of IRWA Chapter 25.
