• Review tender documents for external quotation requests, seek current market prices and, where appropriate obtain special contract rates and availability of delivery from suppliers and prepare all necessary documents.
• Identify and prepare bill of material requirements for each job by reviewing technical drawings, and site visits where appropriate, assess labour requirements, identify tasks and calculate time required to complete in.

• The supervision of various sections ranging from bogies, wheels and axles, diesel components and diesel engines.
