Started in the computer room as a JES2 computer operator (Mainframe Environment) using JES2 and MVS/XA, Computer Associates (CA) operational software. It was decided to take certain processes off the mainframe and put them onto PC’s for processing. I created applications both on the mainframe to extract data and import onto the PC’s for processing saving thousands of dollars because mainframe time was charged back to the requesting department.
