About Ross Upshur

My clinical research, teaching and practice focuses on the delivery of primary care to medically complex older adults. This includes research on clinical measurement and the creation and evaluation of models of care with a focus on health systems integration. I have a set of broader academic interests relating to public health and global health, particularly addressing and re-conceptualizing the contested relationship between health care and public health. I am interested in all aspects of bioethics, philosophy of medicine and public health particularly the relationship between epistemology and ethics. My approach combines clinical, epidemiological, and philosophical methodologies to address these issues.
