Ross provides strategic communications, public policy and stakeholder relations support to WIHV - the Women's College Institute for Health System Solutions and Virtual Care. With colleagues at WIHV he is a co-author of "Virtual Care: A Framework for a Patient-Centric System” and "Examining Tensions That Affect the Evaluation of Technology in Health Care: Considerations for System Decision Makers From the Perspective of Industry and Evaluators”.

He helps life science and healthcare organizations solve complex public affairs problems, with a particular focus on innovation and commercialization challenges.

Ross led national government affairs and corporate social responsibility initiatives for one of Canada’s largest innovative biopharmaceutical companies. He managed a national team of employees located across the country, sat on the company's Senior Leadership Team, and represents AZC on a wide variety of trade association initiatives, including the Policy Committee of Canada's Research-based Pharmaceutical Industry (Rx&D). He also supported AstraZeneca Canada's CEO on a wide range of association business and external affairs issues and activities. In 2013 he helped create and launch the company's new national CSR strategy, and in 2012 Ross helped lead a volunteer team that crafted a new 3-year strategic plan for the Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club.

Ross was responsible for all Ontario public policy and government relations work for the company, working with senior political staffers and bureaucrats, leaders of innovative NGOs and think tanks, and key hospital and university officials. In that role, he coordinated AZC’s response to Ontario’s 2-year drug system reform, worked to improve the province's biopharmaceutical sector, and designed and hosted a 2010 “North American Summit” that brought together government affairs colleagues from Canada and the US for intensive training and skills development.

One of the first employees at Canada’s largest technology incubator and accelerator, Ross led all public affairs and government relations for a unique public-private partnership housing 60 companies, venture capital firms and research labs across 700,000 sf of space. Responsible for international relations, he hosted over 50 international delegations at MaRS and delivered keynote speeches in Taipei, Chicago and Washington, DC. Ross also created MaRS’ new “social innovation” program for entrepreneurs focused on solving complex community, social or public policy problems.

Working for one of Canada's preeminent economic think tanks, Ross spent the summer between the first and second years of his MBA program working on a program designed to assess the competitiveness of the province's auto sector, and creating a framework to determine those Canadian companies with a broad business impact.

As a member of the leadership team of Canada's first and foremost CSR magazine, Ross coordinated outreach to “Canada’s Top 50 Corporate Citizens” and helped launch the magazine’s flagship annual analysis, now in its 10th year. He also helped organize CK’s first annual conference and managed the editorial and production team.

Working for a boutique macroeconomic and political consulting firm, Ross wrote and edited over 600 articles for the G7 Daily Briefing, an economic report used by over 180 global financial institutions, hedge funds and multinational companies. He predicted economic trends and currency moves by evaluating data and interviewing policymakers at the Bank of Canada, the Bank of England and the European Central Bank, and briefed clients in London and New York. He also helped launch and then edited the "G7 e-Briefing" - a bi-weekly analysis of the key regulatory and political changes impacting the telecom, Internet, media and entertainment industries.

Ross designed a business development guide for Canadian companies bidding for international projects financed by the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and hosted 15 delegations of Canadian business leaders and briefed them on key global trends.
