Rossana Mahvi is a Co-Founder of WayFinder Education, Creating and Sustaining Equitable Learning Communities at WayFinder Education. In a classroom with severe behavior challenges, Rossana maintains strong classroom management and effectively resolves/helps her students resolve conflicts that arise. Students know Ms. Mahvi as an energetic teacher and leader. In a school that does not have the funds or time to offer a large number of sports and extra-curricular activities, Ms. Mahvi leads the Spirit Squad, helps with SGA and other extra-curriculars, and often helps her class develop routines and songs that can be shared during all-school assemblies. Additionally, she is a great strength among our staff. As the leader for the PLC's in her grade band, she helps other teachers to become data-driven in their task to educate our students. Her ability to see what is needed and to adapt to those tasks make her an invaluable part of our team. While she is only in her second year of teaching, she took on a teaching fellow and has worked closely to help her develop her skills as a new teacher.
