As a designer and founder at roywear, I oversee the design, sourcing, production, marketing, packaging, and sales of garments and accessories. I launched roywear in September 2021 as a creative outlet and a way to showcase my passion for graphic illustration and product design.Before starting roywear, I worked as a production associate and packaging engineer at MYSTERY RANCH, a backpack company based in Montana. There, I designed multiple shelf-ready packages for new products using Artios CAD and a CNC laser cutter, worked with the product development team to understand customer needs, and produced backpacks and accessories using industrial sewing machines.I have a B.S in Industrial Technology and Packaging from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where I also served as an instructional student assistant for two courses: Fundamentals of Packaging and Applied Business Operations. I advised and instructed students on packaging projects, design thinking, manufacturing methods, and marketing and selling strategies.I am highly motivated and enthusiastic about pursuing packaging engineering and design related opportunities in New York City. I have a strong background and skill set in product design, product development, SOLIDWORKS, Artios CAD, CNC laser cutting, and industrial sewing. I am also open to new roles and challenges that can help me grow and learn as a designer and engineer.
