Mr. Berman serves on the Board of Directors for MiaLink, the purpose of which is to build out US to international telecom/data network opportunities through global data circuits to tap into the following areas:- International Fibre Optic Cables: Meet demand for the provision of cost effective data circuits between countries to cope with increased demand for international bandwidth.- Data Centres: Satisfy increasing governmental and corporate interest in the provision of international data circuits to connect data centres that are used as hubs locally by telephone operators and ISPs.- Voice over Internet Protocol: Telecoms carriers continue to move to new IP technology as a cheaper alternative to traditional copper networks with a higher quality of service.- International Calls over TDM: The majority of telecoms traffic for emerging markets continues to be carried over traditional copper networks; whilst this traffic will migrate to internet based call systems, demand still exists.- Outsourcing: Telecom operators, particularly mobile operators, are focusing more on their customer products and service so are increasingly willing to outsource non-core functions such as network build and maintenance whilst also avoiding high capital expenditure.

- Responsible for bringing more than 850 single-family residences from acquisition into construction and leasing.- Manage portfolio of high-risk, non-performing assets to profitability.- Direct team of eight staff to develop and implement field work, negotiate financial transactions including cash-for-keys, supervise outside vendors, steer legal strategy, and represent LA region at superior court. - Improved departmental efficiency metrics by 92% to date. Prior to starting, the firm had over 400 non-performing assets, representing over 28% of the LA region’s total portfolio. Within the first year, succeeded in reducing and maintaining non-performing assets to the low 30’s, comprising less than 2% of the portfolio. The ROI translates to more than $750,000 in additional monthly revenues, or $9M annual.- Spearhead new operational management efforts including, new strategic initiatives for corporate sustainability.
