Now in the process of automating these builds using Ansible and Vagrant.-Created a standard 'Route to Live', that removed the need for developer access production systems and allowed the operational staff to fully integrate and support releases. Now in the process of automating this with TFS and Jenkins.-Introduction of source control(TFS) and documentation systems (SharePoint) to enhance support and cross-functional working, as well as to ensure that code assets are protected within the business.-Introduction of common documents sets: Business Requirements Document->Functional Specification->Technical Specification, to ensure delivery is aligned to business needs.-Introduction of Agile development methodologies, using Kanban boards and backlogs and Scrum style bi-weekly sprints. Reponsible for hte identification and implementation of technology solutions, I delivered cross-functional solutions to all parts and levels of the business. Key achievements include:- Identification and introduction of SQL 2012 solution for data archiving. Archiving of over 6TB of disparate data from SQL server, Oracle, IBM Iseries, DB2, Excel and Access. This required the design, mapping and staging a large amounts of data and the design of an appropriate series of Data Marts to allow ongoing access.-Design and implementation of cross-company replication using MS SQL Server to support near real time reporting.-Introduction of MS Office Sharepoint Services as a document library across the business.-Design and development of a number of apps in C#, asp.net, MVC and Javascript to support key business initiatives.

At a time of major change for the organisation and the expansion into a number of new areas, including the creation of a new bank, I was the Senior SQL Server DBA across the organisation. I inherited a number of systems that were unfit for purpose both in terms of technical design and support/maintenance. Leading my team, we rebuilt the estate to be robust, scalable and compliant. I had responsibility for over 40 servers across multiple versions and operating systems and for numerous business functions - many of them mission critical

My remit was to architect the delivery of information to field-based senior management. This involved the design and development of the required business models, along with the training and support of a very senior user base, most of whom were very new to the use of computers.Initially I focussed upon the extension and development of the existing framework, and then later the design and creation of a much wider enteprise wide data warehouse.

I began work as a the Authority's Senior Information Systems Specialist, designing and implementing systems to support clinical management and patient care. I progressed to Developments Manager, running major projects such as the Authority's GP Links project and a national pilot of Telemedicine.

Working from within the Information Directorate, I was involved in the specification, design, construction and support of a number of major information systems and the negotiation and management of a replacement system for the HSDU unit.

Working from within the Finance Department, I was assigned to a number of multi-disciplinary teams working on a range of initiatives within the business. This included working on the development of a usage tracking system that realised substantial financial savings for the business.
