I was responsible for all the company’s sales and marketing, and the successful delivery of major client events. My achievements included:• Leading a major change in the company’s strategy, enabled by a senior leadership change in 2005, resulting in a successful, more aggressive client base expansion program.• Growing turnover consistently, increasing client numbers by more than one-third between 2008 and 2010, while boosting margin through negotiating high-end fees.• Successfully managing budgets of up to € 2m in a single year, ensuring the profitable delivery of client projects and business development activity.• Creating, then managing, project teams of up to 15 multidisciplinary professions built from company colleagues and contractors, swiftly setting a common direction and ensuring cooperation.• Scoping and delivering the company’s business development strategy, segmenting the market and analyzing outcome, implementing changes in response to quantitative and qualitative data.• Delivering integrated sales, marketing and communications strategy using search engine optimization, display advertising in specialist publications, PR, and telemarketing.• Project managing up to 10 major international business fairs and professional congresses a year• Managing client relationships from initial scoping through to post-event impact analysis, and leading onsite delivery including logistical support for attendees demanding a quality experience.
