Providing Consultancy, Live Studio and OB Directing services, Automation Integration, Defining Workflows to Television Broadcasters around the world.Since leaving the BBC my company, RF-12.tv has been hired to provide location directing services, consultancy work and production.

Directing and production skills across live and recorded multi-camera, VR studios and Outside Broadcasts.I started working at the BBC in technical operations. With a 10 week Introduction to Television Operations course. After that I worked across BBC News operations.Multi tape format transfers, Graphic Operations, Tape playout, Studio Camera Operator, Lighting Director, Studio Manager and Vision Mixer (Switcher for the USA !).Following an attachment to Directing I became a full time BBC News Director in 1991.From then I worked across BBC News, directing in Studio and on location.Selected Broadcast HighlightsIn 2009 I have led the Operational Team in the provision for a new solution for Gallery Playout of all BBC Television News output. I created a system for evaluating the various companies bidding under the procurement. Carried out User Experience testing, and following the BBC decision to procure Mosart I worked with a small team to establish the workflow for the new system. • Lead Director BBC News at Six & Ten - the two main BBC UK Network News bulletins• Direct the major BBC World Debates across the world, as Director, Production Manager and Producer• 2011 – Planning lead for the pan BBC News coverage for the Royal Wedding• 2010 – Screen procurement, concept and design lead for BBC Election 2010 Studio• 2007 – Lead Television Planning for BBC World Service Trust (the Charitable Trust of the BBC) and BBC World – Bangladesh River Journey – including Six weeks on Location. • 2005 – Planning lead for the pan BBC News coverage of the death of Pope John Paul II• 2001 – Core Coverage Director for the September Attacks on the US• 2000 – Planning lead for the design and concept for BBC World’s Millennium coverage
