Key elements of the role include: - Providing impartial information and support around options in relation to resolving issues of a bullying, harassment nature and sexual misconduct.- Supporting informal interventions including Mediation.- Supporting and guiding the reporting person in making a formal complaint if they wish to do so.- Accompaniment of Complainants and Respondents to Investigation Meetings and provision of after-care support. - Signposting and referring individuals to other appropriate support services both within the University and externally.- Keeping accurate records to a safe, secure, professional, and ethical standard. National Projects ManagerSupport Your Local Hospice Jun 2017 - Jun 2018IrelandThe first priority for this role is to implement, monitor, roll out and drive all activities in relation to the biggest national hospice fundraising event of the year: ‘Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice Together with Bewley’s.’ In addition to this campaign are the two national hospice fundraising and awareness raising campaigns; Hospice Legacy Campaign and Hospice Sunflower Days .Ireland's Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice Together with Bewley's 2017 was the 25th year of the campaign with record achievements for it's silver jubilee. The 2017 campaign has raised over €1.7 million for hospice and homecare services across Ireland with every euro raised locally, staying locally (totalling over €35 million raised in 25 years). In 2017, the number of guests increased by over 21%, the number of coffee mornings increased by over 22%, and doubled the number of celebrity Ambassadors. In addition to that, the campaign had a brand refresh and increased it's digital footprint with 400% increase in Twitter Followers, 2 days trending at #1 on Twitter, 28% increase in website traffic. The campaign had it's largest exposure through PR, OOH, print, radio and digital advertising than ever before. The 2017 campaign has been shortlisted in the Transform Awards, National Fundraising Awards, An Post SMART Awards & AIM Awards. This role involves high-level organisation to ensure the success of the national campaigns which are in aid of the hospice and homecare services in Ireland. GLEN has many accolades for their work around equality, inclusion and protection against discrimination. My role focuses on the internal and external management of GLEN's communications. At the core of GLEN's communications is advocacy for the LGBTI community, promoting the work that is being done for the community and highlighting the current issues being faced. This is done through a variety of mediums including social media updates, print media, radio and publications. Our communications also focus on fresh and innovative ways to engage with the LGBTI community and our stakeholders by preferring communications which are environmentally friendly to modern approaches to conveying messages. Previous role in GLEN: Events & Communications Officer, focusing on the Workplace Diversity programme. This role focused on the facilitation of events and communications for the Diversity Champions Programme. In doing so, increasing the awareness raising of diversity within the workplace, ensuring inclusivity and protection for LGBT workers in Ireland. The Diversity Champions Programme hosts a series of networking events throughout the year which brings together current and prospective organisations who recognise the benefits of such programmes. This involved finding the publications with the highest circulation in each country and all international LGBT publications, searching their archives for any articles relating to the referendum, creating a database of reports and consolidating the reports for storage. This required extensive knowledge in database searching of international media archives and creating a storage system of the relevant information. My role is one node of the Queer Archive which will house the information relating to the Marriage Referendum. -
