For the summer between my fourth and final year of my degree, I undertook a 10 week research project at Strathclyde. My work focused on making RF gels and testing their application for the adsorption of emerging contaminants. Working in the lab, I learned a lot of new skills and how to use different pieces of equipment. As a researcher I also learned how to work independently and with other students/PhDs, how to find information and methods based on previous studies, and how to handle experimental data and present results in an accessible and informative way. The poster below demonstrates these qualities and summarises the work I undertook.

Seasonal work selling the farm's produce at pop-up stalls throughout Scotland. This job required hard work to attract customers, as well responsibility and initiative as I primarily worked independently to ensure the stall was well presented and there was never too much perishable stock at the end of the day (this involved offering deals to customers to sell more stock). I also took regular stock checks to inform the farm of what stock was needed. At some locations it was required to drive a van.The photo below is taken from TripAdvisor.
