Head Hunted to Manger anothe lighting company, this time in Qatar. Maunufacturing of HID & CFL products.

I was head hunted to set up another lighting manufacturing company in Saudi Arabia.Arrived in Al Hasa Saudi Arabia in December 2007, Al Hasa is around 3 hours drive from Dammam Saudi Arabia, which is in the middle of the desert.Build the factory and started production in 1 year to the day, manufacturing HID & CFL products, employed all the staff from India & Indonesia & locally, machinery was from GE Hungary.Factory was difficulted to set up, due to location in the desert, you can see from the photos, that this place was a real desert, also very hard place to live.Temperatures in the winter were 0 degrees Celsius and in the summer 55 degrees Celsius.

I need 3 year contract setting up Lamp Factory and producing GLS & FTL products, employed all staff from all over the word, and purchased all machinery from around the world and installed in Jeddah Saudi Arabia.Brought an old Philips Lighting factory in Turkey that had been shut down, due to earthquake in Turkey, moved all the Lamp making machinery to Saudi Arabia, also had some old FTL product lines that were from Indonesia but Tungsram made in Hungry. Also started glass factory, to manufacturing the glass shell/bulbs for the lamp factory, the glass factory was able to produce 20 tons of glass per day, also employed all the staff to run glass factory.On a personal note, I was very hard living in Saudi Arabia with all the restrictions in place, I was living in the British Compound along with my family and around 200 Expat families.

I had a 4 year contract with OSRAM Germany to Move Philips Lighting factory in New Zealand to OSRAM Indonesia and set Production lines up and train local staff with more than 50 production lines and 2000 production staff producing more than 200,000,000 lighting products per year, also was involved in HR for all techinical Staff and Engineers.

Philips Lighting factory, manufacturing of more than 2000 lighting product, factory close in December 1999 in which I relocated the factory and all production lines to OSRAM Indonesia.
