Hydracrat is a drilling contractor in Scotland which utilise tracked land drilling rigs to perform various groundinvestigation works. Responsibilities include completing and submitting estimates, client communications,negotiating rates and supporting crews by organising materials and transport to site for each project. This rolehas allowed for an improved understanding of the tendering process from initial enquiry through to projectcompletion as well as developing communications skills and organisation to ensure that tendering deadlines aremet and works are completed on schedule.

Responsible for maintenance schedules of machinery as well as procuring resources for use on-site and inworkshop. Worked with AutoCAD Mechanical 2016 to produce 2D models of plates, frames and other objectsas well as performing finite element analysis. Produced a parts manual for the in-house developed drilling rigswhich allowed for more efficient sourcing of structural, mechanical and electrical components. This roleresulted in an improved ability to manage project scheduling and delegate tasks to other team members to keepthe rig maintenance schedules on track.

Responsible for all drill core sample preparation, including photographing, descaling and presentation of rockcore samples. Worked in reporting unit producing drilling reports and borehole logs using GEODASY V6software. Carried out previous responsibilities when required as well.

Worked in various locations on-site acting assistant driller and operating machinery to produce rock coresamples. Performed various maintenance tasks as necessary. Gained further experience working withmechanical and electronic systems. In 2014 worked on a major national infrastructure improvement program,performing various tasks to successfully keep the sub-contract drilling programme on schedule. These rolesallowed for an opportunity to work within a complex infrastructure improvement project to learn how suchprojects are organised.

Worked in a popular retail store locating and collecting items from stockroom. Other tasks included handlingdeliveries and customer service on the shop floor. Experience gained in customer interaction as well asorganisation of tasks and duties in order to meet individual and store targets.

Assisted plant fitter with servicing and maintenance tasks on heavy plant such as drilling machines and JCBs.Worked with various automated and manual machinery including cranes, pneumatic impact guns and rotarydrills as well as cutting saws and discs. This role resulted in an improved understanding of the differentcomponents which make up complex mechanical equipment.
