Duties include reviewing zoning regulations for the City, reviewing development projects and assisting them through the development process, assisting and managing long-range planning projects, including but not limited to future land use planning, transportation planning, zoning code revisions, land use analysis, and redevelopment projects.Responsibilities include daily interaction with developers, architects, engineers, and property owners.Projects include frequent interaction with the City Council, Plan Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and other City boards and community organizations.The Planner III will act as the project manager for development review projects and long range planning projects, overseeing the scheduling of meetings, setting agendas, and assembling information packets, and related work.

Led the successful cultural designation application under the guidance of the deputy mayor, which named the Nickel Plate District one of ten statewide cultural districts. Fishers will be the host of the first IAC State Consortium Retreat in August.Staff liaison to the newly formed nine-member Fishers Arts & Culture Commission which oversees an annual budget of $40,000 with three subcommittees that meet bi-monthly.City of Fishers ADA Coordinator and staff liaison to the Fishers Advisory Committee for Disability that meets quarterly. Attended ADA training including the US Access Board and Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities Conference.Strong working relationship with Hamilton County Tourism, and their Creative Economy Placemaking initiative including collaboration with the Carmel Arts & Design District, Noblesville Cultural Arts District, and the City of Westfield.Responsibilities include daily interaction with developers, surveyors, architects, engineers, art professionals, and citizens.
