Superb time to be at Air NZ with a new CEO implementing positive changes involving a significant change in recruitment strategies and investment. Worked primarily in aeronautical engineering in Christchurch then managed projects for cabin crew when in Auckland. Only left to return to Sydney. Otherwise I would still be there. Great forward-thinking business.

First role in Australia hiring recruitment professionals, some of whom I am still in touch with. Rec to Rec is a hard task as you are working with people in the same business/jobs as yourself and a high level of candidate/client care is required. I made a large amount of placements, always hit my targets and always took home my commission. I used a lot of my executive search skills gained in the UK in this role.

I took to this like a duck to water and worked exclusively on executive search, working exclusively on retained searches of C level executives throughout the UK, and occasionally, Europe. I am the co-founder, managing, at it's peak a staff of 12 senior search executives. It is still running to this day by my Business Partner who took a gamble on me and taught me everything I know whilst co-running and managing a successful business from scratch. The fact that I only took home what I earned and, eventually, what I coached our staff's approach to senior execs is a testament to my skills at sourcing and working under pressure.

A promotion from Pre-press Mac Operator saw me going out to clients and advising them on how to successfully submit their files for print. Clients included the British Medical Journal, a publication that required top notch advice so as to be accurate each and every time. This high-level client interaction and account management led to me moving to recruitment.

First job. Working with a team of graphic designers creating everything from the cover to the content in a last-minute environment. Involved in creative meetings and design and later moved on to their prestigious magazine, 'Top Marques'. Before social media had it's full impact, these weekly publications were the sole source of selling cars and motor-related products. Hugely successful but a time-pressured environment, something I have carried across to time management in my corporate positions.
