Brought in specifically to lead the technical problem solving processes and activities related to interference, timing and distortion issues on the Heathrow Operations Trunked PMR and Airport Fire UHF radio systems: Led airport-wide diagnostic testing Held regular progress meetings with the Client (HAL) Identified the source of the distortion and interference and set out a plan for remedial actions Oversaw the implementation of software changes and specified the required hardware modifications

Provided technical leadership and oversaw the Cellular 2G, 3G, 4G/LTE, PMR and TETRA design, coverage and quality optimisation solutions as Radio Design Manager for T2. Led the technical planning and complex building integration coordination for the T2 Radio Integrator Project under tight deadlines with a terminal opening date that could not be moved: Led and managed the design team, which spanned four companies Coordinated the design and installation with Architects, CBIs, CIs and the Client across the T2 Eastern Campus, including both A & B terminals, the multi-storey car park and peripheral buildings Responsible for meeting exacting safety, quality and technical design standards and providing evidence to Project and Quality Assurance Responsible for daily Technical Project Management, Contract Management and the content of Stage Plans as well as managing the individual tasks of the design, commissioning and installation teams Represented the interests of the Client in multi-disciplinary technical meetings where competing interests required contractual awareness, diplomacy and astute, strategic, decision making Carried out the hardware and software procurement and managed the supplier relationships and FATs  Directed all test & commissioning activities, the delivery of full integration of the radio systems into the Heathrow Estate and User Acceptance Testing (the Radio Systems were a pre-requisite for T2 opening on time)

Responsible for the specification, procurement, installation and test, project management and supplier management of a fully integrated machine vision and thermal imaging gigabit-Ethernet (GigE) video data capture system as part of the Instrumentation for the Asset Inspection Train (AIT). The AIT project was delivered on behalf of SERCO Rail Technologies for Tube Lines on the London Underground:  Captured and managed Requirements, LU and ETSI Standards Researched and wrote technical specifications  Conducted progress reviews and design reviews internally, with suppliers and subcontractors and with the Client  Managed the Contract, wrote Project Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and contributed to RAMS within a highly regulated environment Built the system hardware and software in the lab and then integrated on board the AIT 1972 Bakerloo rolling-stock; including machine vision colour, monochrome and infrared cameras, a thermal imaging camera, white and infrared lighting, mechanical housings and mounting brackets, networked GigE media converters and switches, multimode fibre connectivity between cars and several data servers Commissioned the Video Instrumentation system and carried out Client User Acceptance Testing with Tube Lines Carried out the on-train integration of rolling-stock noise, ride & vibration instrumentation and assisted with the delivery of the integrated data capture, display and user interface for all Test and Measurement Systems on AIT

Responsible for the design and field implementation of a Video & GPS survey system and a Wi-Fi data transfer system Designed, tested and integrated a GPS and gigabit Ethernet (GigE) video data capture system on a rail Tamper vehicle and carried out a video and GPS mapping survey of the entire Northern Ireland Rail (NIR) Network  Specified, trialled and set up a Wi-Fi data transfer system - NIR train depot - Belfast

Group management, project management and bid management activities for the Communications Projects Group: Radio Communications, CCTV and PA projects: Led the technical development of a Wireless CCTV solution for the London Borough of Hounslow; bench testing and field trialling WiMAX-type IP radio products Project managed and carried out the factory acceptance testing, installation, integration, commissioning and site acceptance testing of the radio communications element of the Limehouse Link and Rotherhithe Tunnel Communications Projects (see below for system details)  Supervised the design and delivery of the Warsaw International Airport UHF in-building communications system and the extensions to the coverage solution for the Serco Docklands Light Rail (DLR) Mobile Radio Communications Project
