Started my career in operations covering 20+ years and developed a passion for process engineering and continuous improvement, realizing that technology, when done well, can deliver increased levels of success. Product development roles have typically included organizational and business transformation, self-funding product development through organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Areas of expertise include introducing digital as an alternative to traditional ways of working. Examples include, reducing paper-based document processing in favour of modern digital products, development of office working products to support the office of the future, creating value for the users that do the job as well as consumers. My ultimate goal in everything I do is to maintain a level of simplicity in all that I set out to achieve, avoiding the desire to develop products, or delivery transformations, that result in negative change impact. This only works through consistent people engagement, honest and open collaboration and creating an environment for success. Maintaining a focus on simplicity has proven successful through my career with a proven track record of modernizing teams, business functions and organizations with measurements of success.Lastly, and probably most importantly, creating the correct adaptable work life balance is fundamental to my approach. Time with family, friends and self is essential to the management of mental and physical wellbeing. Be that through creating an environment of trust and autonomy, or simply creating time for personal health, fitness or downtime.
