I’m currently a Backend Engineer with Curve, primarily contributing to their Golang microservices and leading on their Thought Machine Vault Core implementation.• Within 3 months all reported bugs with their Smart Contract were fixed and Curve were able to re-launch their credit card product that failed to launch a year earlier due to those bugs.• Optimised their Smart contract code to speed up the contract execution x100 for their most problematic accounts.• Frequently use the SQL experience I gained while I was Data Engineer, to help the data team optimise their downstream services including Google Bigquery.• Gained a lot of experience in building Golang microservices, fixing bugs, sync [gRPC] and async [kafka] messaging, adding metrics, deploying to kubernetes etc, • Increased throughput of the credit card’s auto-repayment flows which in turn improved the stability of the process.

Here I became an expert of Thought Machine’s Core Banking platform, Vault Core. My role is to help banks get an in depth understanding of the product at a technical level and advise them on how it can fit their needs. The role is technical and covers a wide variety of responsibilities, such as;• Writing production ready banking products using Python.• Demoing products to banks by interacting with Vault Core’s REST APIs and front end interface.• Gathering product requirements from clients and refining them into use cases that can bebuilt from.• Advising banks on best practices when using Vault Core• Helping the sales team with prospective client engagements.• Answering client queries and troubleshooting potential issues when they occur.• Implementing improvements to our testing framework.• Contributing to general best practices and documentation.• Providing feedback on any potential improvements of our product.

I worked in a small team supporting multiple applications: Data Warehouse – Manage flows of data into the warehouse and the production of a large number of products produced from the Warehouse. Group File Transfer Solution – Helped design solution and file transfer logic with supportability and reliability being to main focuses. I became the subject matter expert for this application. Regulatory New Service – I worked on the re-development of this tier 1 application and have since worked on the productionisation and maintenance of the system.FIX Trading Platform – This application was sold out of the Stock Exchange after a few months of me joining LSE but it taught me basics of FIX protocol and built on my C# experience.

I worked in a team of Service Desk Analysts supporting around 800 staff at Gazprom Marketing and Trading, some of my responsibilities are to make sure all new starters at the company are set up with accounts and equipment in time for their start date, also to collect equipment and ensure the correct process is followed when somebody leaves the company. I am also part of the first line support and help to fix users computer issues when they arise.
