As the coordinator of the Buddy Program at Being Alive, I lead the initiative to provide one-on-one support services for people living with HIV/AIDS. With over three years of experience in interaction design and social media marketing, I specialize in creating engaging and accessible experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our clients and volunteers.Buddy programs have been a cornerstone of HIV/AIDS services for decades, and with the majority of people living with HIV/AIDS now over 50 years old, the need for personal and social support is more crucial than ever. The Buddy Program addresses this need by connecting clients with caring volunteers.These volunteers serve in various roles, including companions, peer counselors, advocates, and helpers with daily living tasks, providing tailored support to enhance the well-being of each client.I currently manage over 70 clients with 15 ongoing matches. I also facilitate a monthly meetup for my clients.
