I led the British Council’s operations in Sub-Saharan Africa to fully exploit the benefits of digital marketing and communications. This involved implementing the digital marketing strategy, encouraging investment and developing staff capability across offices in 18 countries. I increased understanding of digital performance, set KPIs and motivate countries to meet targets. I also provided guidance on brand compliance and digital security. The role involved identifying opportunities to strengthen the brand through online public relations campaigns. Working with business units to determine priorities, I delivered digital marketing campaigns to attract customers to our products.
