Patti Ross is the Chief Corporate Engagement Officer for the University of Utah. Patti’s focus on business development drives corporate-academic engagement with trust and transparency, creating mutually beneficial relationships that further university priorities. Her office engages internal and external constituents to create and deepen innovative corporate partnerships to grow the U’s sponsored research funding, drive economic impact, facilitate knowledge discovery, further student education, and enhance employment pipeline development — essentially, creating impactful public private partnerships, often with federal, state, and municipal participation as well.Prior experience in the private sector includes a variety of roles in finance, accounting, telecommunications, economic consulting, and real estate development analysis. This eclectic path has allowed Patti to hone her skills in collaboration, relationship building, business development, financial analysis, strategic partnerships, and creative problem solving.Patti is a long-time Utah resident and a proud UU alumna with a BS in Accounting and MBA from the David Eccles School of Business, and an active Utah CPA license. Outside the office you will find Patti in the beautiful mountains of Utah - hiking, biking, and skiing!
