I have recently left a 10 year career in software that included roles in sales, development and management. I started out as an inside sales rep for Dell, Boxx and then Vignette where I made a step change to become one of the youngest account executives in company history. After leaving Vignette I founded a few software companies with the help of some of the finest people I have ever worked with. drillMap was the most successful of the bunch. My partners and I took this idea that was derived through many hours of consulting with the various energy companies. After some initial success, we applied to and were accepted to Surge Accelerator. It was a great experience that was loaded with pressure and demand for exceptional performance. We met those requirements and were rewarded with the completion of a series A investment that included Rockport Capital, Ridgewood Capital and ConocoPhillips. This team of investors, my partners and all of our employees were a joy to work with and gave us the opportunity of a life time. After hiring a CEO of drillMap, I was able to chase my lifelong dream of playing professional golf. I am currently on that journey and enjoying the long road ahead of me. I love a challenge and the rewards that come as a result of the adversity. I still work in a UX design capacity for startups and on occasion do some consulting and mentorship for entrepreneurs.
