Training towards obtaining a Senior Reactor Operator license for Salem Nuclear Generating Station.

Responsible for a variety of program management, resource management, scheduling program evaluation, policy development, and other technical review activities related to operating nuclear power plants.Responsible for conducting long-term strategic planning, strategic human capital forecasting, budget formulation, Operating Plan development, short-term planning, and technical issue resolution.

Coordinate regular public meetings between the NRC staff and preapplicant Generation mPower, LLC to facilitate technical discussions.Prepare meeting notices, meeting summaries, proprietary letters, and act as a facilitator for recurring meetings.Engaged the technical review staff in the development the mPower Design-Specific Review Plan.Collaborate with with technical review staff to develop strategies for resolution of technical challenges associated with the anticipated submittal and review of the B&W mPower design certification application.Coordinate with the technical review staff, mPower project managers, and the Planning and Scheduling Branch to ensure mPower-related activities were properly incorporated into the project schedule and resources were allocated as appropriate.Participate as a member of the Enterprise Project Management Steering Committee served with the responsibility of re-instituting EPM in the Office of New Reactors effectively and efficiently.Coordinated division contract officers in the management of all of the Division of Advanced Reactors and Regulation contracts and prepared pertinent information for contract status meetings with the Deputy Director.Reviewed monthly letter status reports submitted by Department of Energy laboratories to ensure accuracy of information and expected spend plans were consistent with established task order agreements and work schedules.

Performed independent, on-site baseline inspection at Salem, Hope Creek, and Seabrook Power Stations.Participated in multiple team inspections including a Mods, Problem Identification & Resolution, Emergency Preparedness, and Supplemental inspection follow-up.Interacted with NRC-licensed facility personnel at all levels of the organization for inspection follow-up, meetings, and interviews.Coordinated allegation support by preparing allegation panel forms, recommended disposition actions, and requests for additional information.Prepared and assisted in numerous communications to licensees and individuals including enforcement letters, acknowledgement/closure letters, inspection reports, and requests for additional information.Assisted in the overall assessment process by supporting Mid-Cycle and End-of-Cycle assessment reviews for nuclear power stations.
