Over the last three years, our team has adjusted to focus specifically on the needs of our organization to deliver a subscription-based software solution to our customers. As the tech lead for this team, I have worked hard to instill the value of allowing our product engineering teams and product quality teams to focus on building amazing new features and experiences for our customers. I am impressed with the hard work our team puts in to allow our product teams to avoid the overhead of re-inventing the wheel for shared functionality. Across both our platforms and products, this team is now focused on solving the hard problem of product licensing. While our team doesn't get to point to any specific snazzy new feature on each new product release, we do get to take pride in the fact that those features were easier and faster to deliver to our customers because of our work. Building a team of people who can appreciate their value based on the value that they can only indirectly provide to customers has been one of the highlights of my career in the Software Engineering space.
