Where does an airport currently stand, where does it need to go in the future, and what steps need to be taken in between? I worked closely with a small team of aviation consultants to answer these questions for multiple clients. My tasks included data collection and analysis, use of specialist software packages, developing client presentation slides, and writing planning documents. Some examples are below.- Correlated takeoff and landing data with weather data to evaluate the runway orientations and navigational aid infrastructure at JFK Airport.- Charted aircraft noise levels surrounding an airport using Integrated Noise Model 7.0 software and drafted the airport layout in AutoCAD Civil 3D- Forecasted airport facility needs over 20 years at 2 airports in Upstate New York, helping the clients complete their 10-Year Airport Master Plan Updates for Federal Aviation Administration approval- Wrote a proposal to complete a feasibility study for a 3,000-foot runway extension at a commercial airport in Canada with over 230,000 passenger boardings per year
