After serving for 8 years in the United States Air Force and being medically retired, I am now completing my bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity. My time in the Air Force taught me discipline, leadership abilities, and how to work effectively as part of a team. I also developed an appreciation for organization and planning through my logistics work of coordinating complex transportation operations. These logistics experiences sparked in me a passion for optimization, efficiency, and strategic planning. Since retirement I have had a successful career as an account manager, averaging $6M in profit per year. Over the past 8 years I have led teams and acquired a large amount of knowledge in 3rd party logistics, asset management, dispatching, strategic planning, transportation pricing, and customer relations. For 4 years I have proved that I have the ability to work proficiently in a remote setting. I have excelled at keeping myself motivated and disciplined. I look forward to obtaining another remote or hybrid position in the near future, whether it is in cybersecurity or logistics. As I prepare to graduate, I look forward to applying both my military experiences, logistics experience, and cybersecurity knowledge to a career focused on IT logistics and infrastructure. My background has prepared me well to handle the challenging, fast-paced nature of cybersecurity operations. My passion for logistics gives me a unique perspective on approaching security resource planning and risk management strategically. I am able to assess situations comprehensively to uncover inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.My goal moving forward is to leverage my diverse skill set across cybersecurity, logistics, and operations to tackle complex problems. I enjoy continuous learning and finding creative solutions to improve systems and processes. I am dedicated, disciplined, and determined to succeed - qualities instilled in me during my military service.
