As a systems engineer I supported the qualification and acceptance testing of spacecraft propulsion modules for a variety of legacy and new space customers. My PhD research was focused on the processing and synthesis of high-thermal conductivity materials for use in high-powered laser applications. I developed new laser gain media and fabricated targets for high-energy laser damage studies.Outside of work, I focus my energy on giving back and improving my community through mentorship of FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams and judging FIRST LEGO League (FLL) competitions. I see these as opportunities that I was not fortunate enough to have growing up, and want to help these students get the most out of everything they put their minds to.
