In 2010 I partnered with another founder to create and deliver a brand new payroll software application for the UK market. The result was BrightPay.BrightPay began its life as a desktop application. Initially, I was solely responsible for all aspects of its development: architecture, UX/UI design, programming, data management, the creation and integration of multiple web services, and more. I also created the BrightPay name, branding and website. BrightPay UK was followed shortly by an Ireland version.I became more involved in strategy and business development as time went on, taking a leadership role in many areas. I built and grew a software development team and worked on partnerships and integrations with many other systems. BrightPay went from strength to strength, steadily gaining both functionality and market share, and winning multiple awards.After many years of success, I led the transition from desktop to cloud, producing a cloud-based version of BrightPay that offered the same user experience but powered by a new modern and scalable cloud architecture.I was heavily involved in transitioning the company through multiple private equity deals, mergers and acquisitions resulting in the new and expanded Bright Software Group, in which BrightPay continues to be a significant part.I remain fully active in Bright, primarily doing what I do best: creating brilliant software that customers love.

Phizz was a one stop shop for the creation of bespoke web applications, including all consultation, graphic design, client-/server-side development, database design/programming, web hosting, marketing strategies, and search engine optimisation. Phizz quickly gained reputation for a high quality, reputable standard of work with first class customer service. In total I delivered hundreds of projects across a wide range of industries and disciplines. Being the founder and sole employee, I was responsible for the entire set of offered services as well as all business development/management.
