Rossy Toledo received a B.S. in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin (1994), a M.A. in Hispanic Studies from the University of Tennessee (2000) and a M.F.A. in Creative Writing from NYU (2012). She is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Modern Foreign Languages at the University of Tennessee. Her poetry and short stories have been published in Letras Femeninas, Label me Latino/a, and others. Her first two collections of poetry Pregonero despertar de voces (Abismos, 2013) y Azules sueños naranjas (miCielo, 2013) were published and presented in Mexico City during the Zocalo International Book Fair: Mexico, 2013. She currently lives in Oak Ridge with her husband Diego del Castillo. Rossy Toledo also works independently as a Hispanic Marketing and Cultural Competence consultant. She serves the community by volunteering at Casa HoLa.
