Responsible for running several mission-critical CERN administrative applications, such as:- Electronic Document Handling System (EDH): the CERN internal business process management system, automating a full range of CERN administrative process "from hiring to firing": reqruitement, vacations, appraisals, purchasing, logistics, training, safety. EDH is most heavily used administrative software application at CERN with over 15'000 active users and over 250'000 electronic documents processed every year.- Online CERN Hotel reservation, supporting online room booking for the biggest hotel in the Swiss romande area.- CERN Competency Portal, allowing people to edit and validate their competencies.- CERN Stores Catalog, providing online access and back-end tool for managing a catalog of 20000+ articles.Led a team of 10 people using Agile technologies (Scrum, Kanban). Managed material budget of about 250'000 CHF per year.Responsible for collaboration between several Russian universities and CERN in the area of administrative information services (since year 2000). Found, interviewed, selected and supervised at CERN over 35 students and graduates from RussiaService owner for CERN logistics and hotel management applications support, managing customer relations, maintaining service catalogue, monitoring service quality and acting as a point of escalation (ITILv3 certification).

Lead architect and developer of a corporate e-business system (>15’000 users, 1.5M lines of code) written in Java and recommended by Oracle in 2001 as an architectural blueprint for building large scale Java web applications. Designed and implemented application modules and core components. Participated in development of several mission-critical information systems of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), in 1997 prototyped one of the first CERN web applications. Led the first European deployment of the Oracle application server in 2001. Deep expertise in core Java, servlets, JSPs, web services, practical knowledge of JAXP, JAXB, Hibernate, GWT, Spring, Struts2, Grails, Groovy.XML/HTML/CSS/AJAX expert. Led user interface re-design of the most used CERN Web application (over 100 screens) using CSS, Prototype and AJAX, ensured cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility. Designed and developed a corporate site using the OpenCms content management system (14 page types, over 1000 pages in total). Over 16 years of experience with databases (Oracle, MySQL). Used SQL on daily basis, designed database tables, triggers, PL/SQL packages. Used analytic functions and XML extensions. Resolved performance problems, created custom data reports. In 2003 created an innovative full-text search system using Oracle Text (handles over 3500 requests daily). In 2002 implemented a web-based pivot table solution for CERN financial and HR reporting toolkits using rollup and cube groupings.Deep knowledge of workflows (BPMN, BPEL). Developed complex workflows even before wide spreading of commercial workflow products. Automated over 20 CERN mission-critical business processes involving complex interactions with humans.
