Managing a team of Solution Architect Professionals located within the Nordics, Russia, East Europe and Turkey. The team was responsible for provision of Presales, Architectural, Project Planning and Technical Delivery Lead services to Comptel business streams.

Planning, Design and Delivery of Enterprise scope projects to customers around the world. Deliveries included:- Hardware (primarily HP NonStop Servers)- Software (primarily the CBOSS rtBilling product)- Services (primarly to join customer project teams for key strategic exercises)

Sales role focused on sales of the CMS portfolio across industry segments. Main focus has been the Telecommunications industry segment.

Solution Architect, HP Communications Media and Entertainment, Sydney Australia - Lead role in Solution and Application architecture and design of the Optus Prepaid billing system and environment. Solution Architect role has involved the following:- Development and consultation of HP delivered solutions. Areas of responsibility include:- Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Unit based on the HP Open Call Media Platform- Billing infrastructure and applications required to interface with - Telco network elements using 3G charging interfaces- 3rd Party IT solution integration with HP delivered systems and solutions- Integration with external data warehouses, billing systems and customer care applications- Fault analysis and correction- Driving of solution consultation and discovery workshops for assessing customer needs (presales)- Interaction and co-operation with other vendors to develop an over arching and integrated solution design. Vendors include Nokia Siemens Networks, Acision, iTouch, Comverse and CBOSS (HP partner in the Realtime Billing domain).- Identification of requirements and proposal of solution including cost and schedule estimates etc and participating heavily in the pre-sales process- Construction of Statements of Work and price determination using HPs E3T and Deal One tools.- Architecting and designing solutions based on current technologies- Interacting with and guiding customer's technical staff during solution delivery- Guiding HP technical teams to solution creation and deliveryA large part of my time is dedicated to presales activities. This includes investigation of new initiatives, proposal definition and solution design/presentation.Other Activities included consultation and training.

The position primarly involved both existng and potential customer interfacing. Sales support takes pole position in the list but customer training and consultation also have high priority. Product development and improvement is the other side of the position where I am involved in developing the business cases for product development. The business requirements must be clarified to coincide with the technical perspective to ensure an accurate path of product development.Additional responsibilities included management and delivery of solution demos and training packages to customers and partners worldwide.

Responsibility encompasses all areas of competence transfer regarding developing and delivered products or services. Internal trainings, lasting 3-4 weeks, are held 3 times a year and are aimed at new and current employees alike. External trainings are part of professional services packages which are services delivered to customers to enable them to operate their systems effectively and effeciently and within as short a time period as possible

The position involved design and development of CBOSS' billing solution rtBilling. All development work was done on the HP NonStop platform (INS was the underlying layer (API)) using mainly C code. rtBilling is a real time application with customer all across the globe. It is a high end billing system with state of the art features for 2G, 3G and future worlds.

Design and implementation of a graphical user interface for a teleco service creation tool. The UI was written in C and C++.Design and implementation of software modules used to extract metadata information from type databases (HP SCP) and to write this information to LDAP directory servers. The application was written in C++.Design and implementation of a software module used to interface with and extract information from an LDAP directory server. Java's JNDI was used to extract data from a Netscape LDAP serverCreation of a telco service creation tool/application using Java beans technologies. This was one part of a larger project. The goal was to create a stand alone SCP (Service Control Point).

Responsible for training of the technical support department. Training was held daily (4-5 groups, 1 hour each, 5 days a week) on new parts or products the company was shipping and on fixes/solutions to known problems. I worked as part of a group of three instructors with my responsibilities lying with the UK and German markets. Training was delivered in German (80%) and in English (20%).Senior technical support specialist for laptops, networks and modems for the German market.
