The scope of work at designerseast starts from the earliest stages of a building project, which can start with developing ideas with the client, establishing budgets, assessing the needs of the building and its users, to the final on site execution upto the tiniest finishing details. There is much versatility in the typology of the projects I have worked on varying from big scale residential projects to housing development, from airport designs to multi-storey high-rises etc.Also, the projects are on going in many different cities of the country. Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Nawabshah being some highlighted ones among others. Different geographical regions having different design and on-site considerations have always been something very helpful in learning at Designerseast.

ArchitectMeta-Con Design Feb 2012 - Oct 2013Canal Park, Gulberg IiiImmediately after a year long experience as a Design Instructor, Meta-Con design was the first hands-on experience of the real hardcore field work. Starting initially from small scale residential designs to recreational and hospitality interiors including Hotels, Restaurants and cafes. As the office engaged into turn-key projects, the transformation of a scribble on a paper to human scale execution has always been an amazing experience.Another very significant chapter at meta-con was Banks Design. It included new design proposals along with uplifting of existing functioning banks, both interior and exterior. The experience with bank designs was very frustrating but at the same time very fruitful in learning how to deal with very restricted and standardized design solutions. From exterior cladding to interior floor finishes, everything was a standard from which you could not deviate. -

The ideal office environment and immense amount of learning in a short period of three months, brought me back every year in summers. The selection of projects in which I was involved always depended upon my own interests and skills set. It involved deep and comprehensive urban analysis and studies, including a multi-platform based mapping, physical as well as mapping of patterns, activities and events, pinpointing issues and problems with a critical analytical approach and ultimately proposing designs, ideas and strategies that improve the competitiveness of cities while enhancing the quality of life for its citizens here.
