Brought in to introduce operational rigor to health plan/delivery system planning process. Led strategic planning for the Mid-Atlantic Region, serving more than 500,000 members through 30+ ambulatory medical facilities in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Managed development of integrated strategic plan for the region and developed 10-year and annual capital plans. Created business cases for internalization of services, facility replacement and reconfiguration, lease renewals, new ventures, and strategic partnerships. Oversaw National Facility Services department responsible for real estate development and facility planning, design, construction, and maintenance for the region. ►Facilitated development of 2014 strategic plan, including development of 10-year capital plan, that resulted in unprecedented growth and profitability in 2014.►Developed strategic plan for Baltimore service area, including plans for membership growth, delivery system development, and strategic alliance building.►Provided strategic guidance for region’s most comprehensive strategic and tactical operational plan to date, identifying specific goals and metrics. ►Facilitated identification, assessment, and implementation of strategic initiatives as part of a new, enhanced national collaboration agreement with Johns Hopkins Medicine.►Drove approval process for all capital projects; managed business case development and review and approval process.►Managed development of a new 20,000 SF multi-million dollar leased primary care facility to replace company’s sole facility in City of Baltimore as first phase of comprehensive capital plan.►Led site evaluation and selection process for a new specialty care hub and a replacement primary care facility.►Conducted post-implementation evaluations of 3 major facility projects representing almost 500,000 SF of new ambulatory medical space that resulted in significant savings through internalization of care.
