I started working in a dealership officially when I was 18, however, my father was a GM, so I really started when I was 6 or 7. I was picking up cigarette butts off the parking lot for quarters! Growing up I spent many hours there. Sometimes to earn money, filing warranty claims and doing time cards (when I was older of course) and other times as punishment detail in the weather or janitorial jobs. The experiences gave me perspective and taught me the value of every role. When I did officially start working there, I had to earn my way to my next role. There were moments of triumph and there were moments that I had self doubt. Luckily I had many people in my corner one specifically, Katie. She was the comptroller and she believed in me. She believed in me until I believed in me. Such a huge lesson in mentorship. I have carried that with me through my career and passed it to those I have mentored.Today I have a new role on the horizon. I left an amazing company to further my relationship with an amazing man. We are relocating to Richmond Virginia this month, and I couldn’t be more excited.I have 21 years experience in a dealership, 9 years experience in F&I, 6 years experience in managing sales professionals and 3 years of outside sales experience. I’m excited to see how my new career unfolds!
