Hi, I'm Rowan and I am currently living in my hometown of Belford, New Jersey.I recently graduated with a BS in Recreation, Adventure Education, and Leisure Management from Paul Smith's College, a rather small school in the Adirondack Park of northern New York. I've spent all of my college career in the state of New York and am looking to continue by living in the Hudson Valley where I plan to start my career in the Recreation industry!Ever since I was 11 years old, my family and I have been vacationing to Lake Placid, NY, which is located in the Adirondack Park. After visiting for multiple winters in a row, we decided to switch things up and visit during the summertime to get some hiking in. After only two short day hikes. I quickly became obsessed with outdoor pursuits and my love for adventure began to grow. After struggling to find my place within the recreational industry during my first few semesters at Paul Smith's College, I took a course focused on program planning that opened up a whole field for me. The entire class was focused on delivering an engaging program to a local senior community center. Having the opportunity to bring some leisure and fun to people who normally aren't exposed to it in their environment sounded enticing. After delivering a successful program and seeing the positive impact that our class made on this community, I knew it was something I wanted to dive into after school.In my free time, I am usually roaming around my local parks, researching travel plans on the internet, practicing yoga, or playing the drums.
