I currently work at Charles River Associates in the Antitrust & Competition Economics practice. At CRA, I assist economists in leveraging theory and a wide range of quantitative methods to conduct data and econometric analyses for evaluating and supporting economic arguments and expert testimony in litigation matters and merger cases. My responsibilities at CRA outside of case work include promoting and developing a powerful R package for consulting and data science workflows.I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with dual degrees in Data Science and honors in Economics. While I was a student there, I wrote an honors thesis combining economics theory and data science techniques, using professional tennis as the area of application. In addition, I had multiple experiences working with graduate students and professors on research projects that focused on topics such as Monte Carlo methods in reinforcement learning and causal inference in event studies.In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and golf as well as learning about options pricing and volatility in the markets.Contact: panrowan@gmail.com.
