I am a transportation structural engineer and I commenced my career at Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) in Melbourne following an earlier student vacation employment position. The 6 years I had with KBR I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and I was fortunate enough to work on numerous large scale Infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. In November 2013 I achieved CPEng and RPEQ status and in January 2014 I was an engineering intern for Bridges to Prosperity (B2P) in Nicaragua for the construction of a 120 metre long suspension bridge in Paso Real. The experience in educating locals in construction techniques, lending a hand on the tools and being immersed in a community was a highlight of my career. February 2014, I passed through Canada and touched based with select engineering consulting firms. I landed my current position with Associated Engineering (AE) in Edmonton and relocated in May 2014. Since my relocation, my career at AE has been nothing but positive. I continually get to work with industry experts, work on iconic projects, present at World Class conferences whilst still maintaining a healthy work life balance.In 2018 I became a chartered Structural engineer from the Institute of Structural Engineers and at end of 2021, AE offered myself a partnership position and I formally transitioned into my partnership position in May 2022.My on-going interests are bridge engineering, mentoring junior staff and working with Engineers in Action in a voluntary capacity.
