Hi, I'm Rowan Bishop, an Art Director, Graphic Designer, Web/UI Designer and Brand Developer at Bridge Street Design in lovely Westbrook ME. I have 15+ years of experience in the design field. While I am passionate about design and making things look good, I carry with me the principal idea that design exists to serve another purpose: to make something or someone more interesting. Good design calls attention to the message but never obscures it. It encourages you to open the box, or click the website, or read the article, or listen to the guest speaker. Originally I hail from NJ, and I cut my teeth as a designer making flyers for my band when I lived in NYC. Pretty soon other bands were asking me to design their flyers as well, and I realized this might be a viable career, so I started taking classes. Since then graphic design has been both my passion and career, and I’m loving every minute of it.
