I am a marketing and communications professional with sixteen years experience, including nearly nine in the construction industry. In 2024 I joined British Steel. In my role as Marketing Communications Lead I'm responsible for delivering internal and external communications as well as organising and attending trade events. Working across the many product areas within the British Steel portfolio, no two days are the same and there is always something new to learn.Prior to this I worked for Princebuild Ltd for almost nine years as Marketing Manager, looking after all elements of marketing for the growing construction contractor. I was the first dedicated marketing manager the company employed and managed various large scale projects such as launching additional group brands, the creation of several new websites and ensuring the brand was position to develop as the company grew. I was heavily involved in Princebuild's extensive CSR work, collaborating with local radio to run community competitions and partnering with Peterborough United football club in a sponsorship deal which included the creation of a company mascot. I was also involved in delivering a vast range of company events such as family fun days and charity events including some gala dinners featuring celebrities like Frank Bruno and Toyah Willcox.My initial marketing experience came from six years working in marketing agencies delivering a vast array of projects for a whole host of exciting companies and brands. From start-ups to companies like Mars Drinks and The FA.I have achieved my CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing, passing with a distinction, adding an academic qualification to my extensive marketing experience and have also achieved Chartered Marketer status. Outside of work, I'm just as keen to achieve, running is a huge part of my life and the further the better! I have completed my first 100 mile event in 2024 and continue to look for new challenges. I also enjoy horse riding, gardening and fell walking.
