I assisted in winning the AMI National Award for Marketing Excellence for the Brookside Litres for Less promotion, assisted in helping the Centre return to positive growth figures after the redevelopment of Westfield Chermside and other smaller Centres within the primary trading area and learned Byvan procedures with respect to financials, report writing, public liability, casual leasing, and general centre appearance. I devised and implemented a plan to ensure that contractors’ Public Liability Insurance was provided correctly and updated on a regular basis (this procedure has been used in other centres), authored a Gift Registry computer program, to be implemented in early 2003 and assisted the Centre Manager ensure retailers adhered to Centre policies due to new Public Liability risk reduction measures (Brookside was the first Centre to successfully do this). I also obtained a Byvan Marketing Certificate, undertook Byvan Marketing Training within monthly meetings and obtained my First Aid Certificate. Show less

I gained valuable experience in administration within the shopping centre environment, as well as marketing and became familiar with Byvan’s Quality Assured procedures and policies. I demonstrated ability in direct marketing and event organisation involved in undertaking a Senior’s Club and assisted in security issues, fire alarms, and centre evacuations. I also manned the office on Thursday nights and Saturdays to ensure security and cleaning was being undertaken effectively.
