I work for myself helping organisations of many types with their social media and digital comms approaches, using my corporate experience to help bring together Marketing, Comms, PR and Digital. I develop social media strategies and policy, as well as carrying out audits, research projects, analysis and social listening. I continue to create content and manage social media channels, remaining on the cutting edge of activity. I have worked with a broad range of clients across sectors including those in film and broadcasting, FMCG, digital agencies, banks, luxury brands, global publishers, charities, PR agencies and many more. I also develop and deliver training sessions, master classes and talks on many topics related to social media for clients including the BBC, the European Broadcasting Union, the European Parliament, ScreenSkills and many more. My training sessions are wide ranging and include "How To Reach Out To Young People", "LinkedIn For Senior Leaders", "Visual Trends On Instagram", "Social Media For Small Businesses", "Online Safety" and "Social Media and TV Production" for example.Previously I headed up BBC Television's Social Media Team and worked across more than 300 social projects, advising on all aspects of social media production for people working in the BBC's TV division as well as indies, helping to set the direction for BBC Television's activity. Social Media Lead For Bbc TelevisionBbc Nov 2010 - May 2014Bristol And LondonI oversaw all of BBC Television's social media activity from 2010-2014, working with producers, execs and commissioners to set the strategy of all 120 or so accounts including ones from Eastenders, Doctor Who and The Voice UK. I worked alongside the BBC's senior social media leads to set the direction for the BBC's general approach towards social media, including areas such as measurements of success. I worked closely with Editorial Policy, helping to shape policy decisions.
